Our Vision

         “Our society drastically underestimates the capabilities of our young people. For years my students were held back by my limiting beliefs. We expect greatness from all of our students, and we are excited to challenge the impossible. This belief is the foundation for everything that we do. 

         String players are more disciplined than anyone else on the planet, but most of them don't start out that way. Learning a string instrument requires years of dedicated effort. No one can teach you how to play the violin. Any success that happens is the result of hard work. This process changes lives. It grows confidence, resilience, and perseverance.                     

           Like many students I spent my youth dreaming of being a professional violinist. I fantasized about taking the stage to play the Tchaikovsky concerto. I pictured myself sitting in a major symphony and performing for sold out audiences. It wasn't until I arrived at FSU, that I discovered I was years behind my competition. Unfortunately classical music in America is a monopoly of the elite. Pre-college programs and summer festivals cost tens of thousands of dollars on top of private lessons. I want to level the playing field.

         My dream is to build a new system that will give the next generation a chance to succeed where I could not. I want life changing music education for our students.  I believe our students need and deserve every possible advantage we can give them to become artists. This school is designed to give our students that chance.”
